Salted Georgia Pecans

How could anything so simple taste so delicious! They are often served at cocktail parties because they are wonderful with drinks. And, they are equally good chopped and sprinkled over an ice cream sundae!

2 tablespoons butter
1 pound of Georgia pecan halves
1 teaspoon salt

Preparation:

Place the Georgia pecans in a large shallow pan with butter. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. (Butter will melt after the first 15 minutes; stir well to coat all nuts).

Place the toasted Georgia pecans on absorbent paper. Sprinkle evenly with salt. Store in tightly covered container.
