Georgia Pecans Exhibit At Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics FNCE Show

The Georgia Pecan Commission exhibited once again at this year’s annual dietitian conference, which attracted over 8,500 health care professionals. The Commission secured Advisory Board Members Ron Pegg, Carolyn O’Neil and Densie Webb, who made special appearances at the Commission’s booth during the conference. A Kindle Fire HD drawing was made each day and was a HUGE success.  The lucky winners were Becky Spates, Danielle Bernier and Becky Sulih, whose photos were posted on the Commission’s Facebook and Twitter pages in real time.  In addition, the American Heart Association gave the Commission two of its latest cookbooks to use as giveaways, which were used as second and third prizes on the last day of the conference.

Attendees visited the booth daily to register to win a Kindle Fire HD and receive Georgia Pecan samples, recipes developed by Carolyn O'Neil and the updated antioxidant charts.  Thanks to the contest and the use of a badge scanner, the Commission was able to capture the contact information for several thousand dietitians, nutritionists, educators and guests for use in future mailings and events.
